Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15 1960) is an American actor. Her work has been recognized for TV and film since the late 1980s she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett, who was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born to New York New York, is a well-known actress. Bassett along with her sister and their mother were moved from the city of Winston-Salem to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. Their father divorced their mother. When she was in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. After graduating of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with a Bachelor's Degree with a major in African American Studies, she was able to obtain the Master's degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American study) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead roles, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
